Latin America's Airlines
Since October 1919, when SCADTA made it's first flight in Colombia, Central and South America have experienced a steady growth in air travel. Now known as Avianca and the world's second oldest airline following KLM, the company is one of the many airlines that serve Latin America.
Due to country size, geographical barriers and distances between population centers, air travel is often the only option for business and leisure travel and cargo service.
LatinAirTravel.com offers a comprehensive guide to air service providers operating in Central and South America and to airlines that provide service to and within Latin America.
Our COUNTRY pages offer airline and airport information, travel tips and links of interest to travelers to each country in Central and South America.
Many airlines offer charter services. You'll find listings for those on our AIR CHARTER page.
Our AIR CARGO page lists airlines, large and small, that offer service to and around Latin America.
If you're looking for a seaplane flight to a diving reef off Central America's Caribbean coast, a helicopter for a heliskiing adventure high in South America's Andes or a way to view the Nazca Lines from the air, ADVENTURE FLYING page has the company for you.
